Culver’s Grand Opening

The excitement for a new restaurant has hit Greensburg. Today is the day that everyone can finally go in and enjoy Culver’s. Individuals were outside waiting since 5:30 am so that they could receive their free value baskets for a year certificate. Only the first 250 guests are eligible. I had the opportunity to attend a VIP event on Saturday and the food was delicious and it was great to see all of the smiling faces greeting me. Staff have been training at the store since January 15, 2024, and it shows.

The Owner-Operator of the Greensburg Culver’s Restaurant is Garrett Abrams. Garrett is the proud owner-operator of the Richmond and New Castle Culver’s as well. During the Grand Opening, I had the opportunity to speak with Garrett about opening a new restaurant and how Culver’s works with the community. Garrett stated that Greensburg fits into what Culver’s is. A company that began in a rural town. He looks forward to the future working with and supporting Greensburg. Joining Garrett for the Grand Opening was his mother and his grandfather. Garrett’s mother is pictured below as the very first dollar that went into the register. Garrett’s grandfather was relaxing in the dining room with a drink watching the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The very first local customer was Mayor Joshua Marsh. The excitement was heard throughout the kitchen as this was the first order that went back to the kitchen. Immediately following his order Mayor Marsh thanked everyone for all of their hard work and wished Garrett and his team good luck.

The Culver’s mission is “We genuinely care, so every guest who chooses Culver’s leaves happy.” This mission is very important to the entire team at Culver’s. It is in Culver’s nature to be Caring, Fun, Dedicated, and Idealistic.

The story of Culver’s restaurants began when George and Ruth Culver opened a restaurant in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1984. They focused on serving nostalgic burgers and frozen custard.

I had the opportunity to speak with Lilly Ramey, Crew Member at Culver’s and she stated, “This is my first job and everyone has been so nice to me during training. I can talk to my co-workers and we are all genuinely happy to serve the community.”
