Decatur County Memorial Hospital Board

The Decatur County Memorial Hospital Board met on Thursday.

There was a financial report given to the board. Volumes submissions for the month of May were down by 5%. They are consistent with the budget for births at 18 for the month. The revenue was off by 9% for inpatient but was increased by 9% for outpatient, with an overall 7.2% revenue increase. Investments have been favorable to the hospital. The rehab building is at 70% completion. The report was approved.

The finance committee gave a report. The financial statement audit was finalized. They received the analysis on accounts receivable and the nursing homes. The report was approved.

Rex McKinney gave a CEO update. The rehab construction continues to do well with everything on time and on budget. This is their biggest time of the year for connecting with the community. The Healthy Fair went well with just over 400 people in attended. They appreciate all community partnerships who supported the event. They will be at the Decatur County Fair with a booth and encourage anyone in the community to stop by. The accreditation meeting went well with a favorable report.

The board approved the capital requests. This included 2 neonatal monitors.

The medical staff surgical services anesthesiology policy was approved.

All appointments to the medical staff were approved. All resignations from the medical staff were approved.
