AS of 2:00 pm Decatur County has a Travel Watch or Orange status from Decatur County EMA Director Brad Speer
County Highway has had good success in removing the drifted snow from the heavier traveled roads and most are passable at this time. They continue to work to improve all roads.
The wind dying down and the sun shining somewhat have helped.
With the snow removed there is still a layer of ice on most roads and they will continue to be slick. Please take your time.
Temperatures are going to be extremely cold this evening and could cause additional problems out on the roads.
We will continue to be in the Watch or Orange Travel Status overnight a due to ice and extreme cold this evening. That status will be evaluated tomorrow to decide the next reduction
