Decatur County Travel Moves to Orange

On February 16, 2021, primary and secondary roads have been plowed in the county and crews continue to work on the remaining roads. The roads that have been plowed are passable, but remain slick and hazardous. With the reduction in the wind the crews are making good strides in getting all the roads open for the public.

Effective as of 1:00 pm on February 16, 2021 the Decatur County Board of Commissioners has lifted the local State of Emergency for the entire county.
All citizens are reminded that travel will be hazardous, and to use caution if you must travel.
The travel status for Decatur County will be reduced to a Watch or Orange level with the state of emergency being lifted. The roads will still be hazardous and some side roads are yet to be completely
plowed out. The primary and secondary roads are plowed and passable at this time.
Please stay tuned to your local broadcast station and social media for further weather and public emergency information.
