INDIANAPOLIS The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 6,255 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the state and private laboratories. That brings to 295,357 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous days dashboard.
A total of 5,040 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 48 from the previous day. Another 265 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
Decatur County adds 12 new positives to bringing that number to 1198. 7334 tested (48 new)
Rush – 500 positives (8 new) and 4609 tested (29 new)
Shelby – 1704 positives (42 new) and 11,532 tested (134 new)
Bartholomew County – 2962 positives (75 new) and 25,377 tested (273 new)
Jennings – 791 positives (16 new) and 5991 tested (71 new)
Ripley – 1214 positives (43 new) and 8199 tested (100 new)
Franklin County -636 positives (18 new) and 5731 tested (117 new)
To date, 2,072,690 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,053,143 on Saturday. A total of 3,897,545 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
