Pauline Ponsler

Pauline M. Ponsler, 87, of Greensburg passed away on April 9, 2024.  She was born on December 18, 1936 in Greensburg. Pauline was the daughter of Harley Bertice and Estella (Kruse) Colson, who raised her on their family farm south of New Point. She was a 1954 graduate of New Point High School. She married Paul Albert Ponsler on September 25, 1954 and together they had four children: Nicole, Brian, Karen and Mark. 

Pauline worked at Printpack, Inc. of Greensburg where she coordinated shipping for 34-years before she retired. She loved to work, but she lived to garden. Pauline was known for her green thumb, tireless work ethic, and a joy for gardening that was contagious. At 87, she continued to marvel family and friends with her hibiscus, roses, clematis and lilies.

She attended Mount Pleasant Church UMC until it closed and then took membership at First Baptist Church of Greensburg.

Survivors include: Daughter; Nicole Ponsler, Sister; Mary Lou Colson, several nieces and nephews, and many extended family.  She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Children; Karen, Mark and Brian Ponsler, Brothers; William Colson and John Colson and Sisters-in-Law: Janet Colson and Loretta Colson.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the funeral home 11:00 am.  Pastor Cliff Bunch will be officiating.
