A COVID-19 testing site in Ripley County was closed this week.


RIPLEY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT COVID-19 COVID TESTING UPDATE

As of today, April 8, 2021, the testing site located in Osgood will no longer be open.

Ripley County was made aware of unprofessional, inappropriate behavior by the employees of the Indiana Department of Health’s contractor at a state sponsored testing site in the county. The site has been closed in response to the county’s request.

Alternate testing is available in the county:

Indiana Department of Health, Ripley County Health Department and Ripley County EMS are partnering to hold free COVID-19 testing. This testing site has both rapid and PCR tests.

The site is held at:
Milan Volunteer Fire Department
201 E. Ripley Street, Milan, IN 47031

The site is open:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
2nd Saturday of the month: 8:00am-12:00pm

Walk-ins are available.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent. To register, please visit https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2524.htm

Hoosiers will not be charged for testing and insurance is not required. If you have private health insurance, please bring that information with you.
