Decatur County Farm Bureau is Celebrating !

Ag Day Fair is Coordinated by Decatur Co. Farm Bureau, Inc.
Decatur County Farm Bureau Incorporated will be coordinating the 29th Annual Ag Day Fair for 5th Grade students of Greensburg, North and South Decatur, and St. Mary’s Elementary and Tree City Homeschoolers on Thursday, Sept 8, 2022 at the Decatur County Fairground.
This is a tremendous volunteer effort by local farmers, agribusinesses, the county sheriff’s dept. fire dept. EMS and others. In all, approximately 75 volunteers come together to make this one-day event happen. FFA members from NDHS, SDHS, and GHS also assist as exhibit educators and group guides for several hundred 5th graders, their teachers and chaperones. In all over 400 students, teachers and chaperones and volunteers attend the Ag Day Fair activities.
The 5th graders and their teachers will be wearing the official Ag Day Fair T-shirt. This year’s theme is: “Backyard to Barnyard – Ag can be for Everyone”. The T-shirts are provided to all students and teachers compliments of Decatur County Farm Bureau, Inc. and Decatur Co. Soil and Water Conservation District.
We will have 21 educational exhibits which will include live animals, birds, and products from the wide variety of agriculture enterprises in Decatur County and new ag technology. This is a positive event with local experts in their respective areas teaching our children.
