City of Greensburg Redevelopment Commission Meeting

The City of Greensburg Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 7:00 pm.

The commission approved the April 4, 2024, regular meeting minutes, and the April 30, 2024, Executive Session meeting minutes.

Zach Wirrig, Director of Public Projects, stated that they have received a property for 3 of the 4 parcels that are included in the Property Marketing Program. He asked the commission to take a vote on whether to approve or deny the offers. The Board President, Dr. Weigel, asked for a motion to vote, and without anyone motioning, the vote died due to lack of a motion. Zach suggested the commission creating a sub-committee to review offers and work through some of the negotiation stages. The final approval or denial of any offer would still come before the full commission. The commission approved the creation of a sub-committee to include Mark Klosterkemper, Ken Dornich, Mayor Josh Marsh, and Zach Wirrig, Director of Public Projects.

Zach provided an update on the Liberty Lakes Project. He stated that the Primary plat plans will be taken to the Plan Commission meeting on May 8, 2024. Zach said that the project continues to push forward with a current request for bids for site work. He said that the goal is to start the project by June 1, 2024.

Zach provided an update on the Apartment Complex RFP. He stated that the RFPs were due back on April 26, 2024. They received one proposal back from Iron Men. They will be meeting with Iron Men on May 16th to discuss the proposal.

The commission approved all May 2024 regular claims for $1,584.39.

The meeting was adjourned.
