The City of Greensburg Board of Aviation met on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 6:00 pm.
The board members approved the agenda for today’s meeting and they approved the April 4, 2024 meeting minutes.
The board approved the Financial Report as presented.
Josh Feister, BF&S representative, received approval for AIP 21 Pay Request #12 which is the final pay request for AIP 21. The amount of the pay request is $97,816.02. Only 99.06% of the budget was used and they will be finalizing the amount. They came $26,000 under budget for the project. Josh provided an update from AIP20 that was submitted in April and is currently pending approval. Josh received approval to advertise the concrete apron project with the advertisement to begin on June 3, 2024, the Pre-bid meeting on June 18, 2024, and the bid opening on July 1, 2024.
Jerry Scheidler, Airport Manager, stated that he currently has 9 people waiting for a hangar to become available. Jerry stated that he has an individual who is interested in volunteering at the airport when the need arises. He doesn’t wish to be an employee of any kind. The board and Jerry decided that they would contact an attorney to draw up a release of liability waiver to cover any possible liability concerns in the future.
The board approved the payment of all bills to include $47,980.00 for the construction of the new building.
