Decatur County Board of Zoning Appeals

The Decatur County Board of Zoning Appeals met on Wednesday.

Greg Weber requested a special exception in an A-1/A-2 zoning classification to put private guest quarters in an unattached structure. This would be considered mother-in-law quarters and would be on the back of a pole barn. It would be a single bath with a full basement and mostly open concept. The property is owned by the petitioner in Greensburg, Washington Township. The petition was approved.

Doug Corn came to the board for Heather Ralstin requesting a variance in an A-1 zoning classification for the 70’ front setback to be a 35’ front setback to build a pole barn. This would be a 32×42 pole barn. The property owners plan to have the doors on the long side of the structure. The property is owned by Heather Ralstin in Greensburg, Washington Township. The petition was approved.
