Decatur County Council

The Decatur County Council met on Tuesday.

The board tabled the discussion of reducing the special purpose jail tax for more information.

There was a discussion on the increase of cumulative capital and Cumulative bridge tax levies. The rate has been set by the commissioners which will be reviewed and approved during budget season.

All additionals were approved. There were no transfers.

Josh Tressler discussed the Microsoft licensing for all city and county offices. They determined last year that the productivity of their current systems are not what they need to run efficiently and are looking to purchase the Microsoft government hosting product. This will help with communication, consistency, and improve security by meeting federal data standards. This will be a shared between the city and county and has been approved by Greensburg City Council. The board gave their support.

Sheriff Meyerrose gave the council the annual jail report.
