The Decatur County Council met on Tuesday.
Philip Deiwert and Daniel Fayette came to the board to give an annual marketing report. They have a new brand that positions them to show how vibrant our city is. There was also the website launch using the new brand. A lot of time was spent building online to give a strong foundation. A visitors guide was created. They focused on capturing more content to continue to get people into our community. There was also a request to change the pay rate for part time employee Erica Gunn to $20/hr. This was tabled for further discussion.
Treasurer Diane Wenning gave an introduction to the new deputies Kathy Voltz and Danielle Holcombe.
The additional for Judge Bailey and Judge Day for a jury administrator/bailiff was approved.
All transfers were approved. The salary ordinance was approved.
