Decatur County Council

The Decatur County Council met on Tuesday.

Purdue 4H Educator Sara Dunlap presented the 2021-2022 program year budget. In light of recent events concerning the fair board, this budget may go through some changes. They are asking for double their previously asked amount to help grow their program. This will be reviewed.

All transfers were approved.

Matt Miller was assigned to the RDC board. This is to replace Jim Saylor.

The ARP Grant Committee made a request for the selection of Grant recipients. This is a memorandum of understanding that the committee will have authority to select those applications to be awarded Grant money. The county council will still get the final say on who receives the grants. This was approved.

The board approved to email taxing units in the county. This is for the Taxing Units on 2022 estimated property tax cap loss and estimated maximum levies.

The ARP ordinance was approved. This is the same ordinance that the county commissioners have approved.
