Decatur County Visitors Commission

The Decatur County Visitors Commission met on Thursday.

Kennedy Weaver did a walk through of the fairgrounds to see what the $12,000 Grant went to. They believe that bathrooms on the rabbit barn would be a great investment and are pleased to see the fairgrounds hosting events that are not fair-related.

The grant committee reviewed the grant requests. The Southern Indiana Dirt Drags Race for Caleb Brown was awarded $1,250. The Decatur County 4-H Swine Club was awarded $1,250. The All 4 One Ministry for the Branch Gathering Place+ Coffee House was denied their community enhancement grant request. The board has not given 2 of these grants to one organization before and would like to see what will happen with the previously awarded money first.
