Greensburg Area Plan Commission

The Greensburg Area Plan Commission met on Tuesday.

There was a public hearing held for 2 topics. The first was the annexation and rezone of a property located at 443 and 521 E. Montgomery Rd. Into the City limits and rezone from an A-1 zoning classification to a B-2 zoning classification. Andy Scholle spoke for the Decatur County Memorial Hospital who recently purchased the properties. The hospital would like to connect these properties into the rest of their campus. The existing structures on the properties should be demolished by summer. The next was for the rezone of a property located at 206 S East St. From an R-2 zoning classification to a B-2 zoning classification. Evan Manship, who recently purchased the property with his wife, would like to make the old St Mary’s church into an events center for mainly weddings.

The board reviewed the recommendation to city council on the annexation and rezone of a property located at 443 and 521 E. Montgomery Rd.
