Greensburg City Council Met on Monday.
Jamie Cain was elected Council President.
Ginnie Faller with the Small Business Development Center gave a 2020 Year-End review. Faller wanted to thank both the council and the community for the support they have been given this year. They started 2020 booming until March as businesses began to shut down and try to pivot to keep up with the rapidly changing world. People were desperate for their help and advise. They began to help people work through the steps and what they could apply for such as the CARES act. They were also given funding themselves to help with training and small businesses. They had many digital marketing initiatives which were successful. This was the most surprising and varied year in Faller’s career.
Building Commissioner Sarah Hamer presented ordinance 2021-01 to rezone the Scheidler property from a B-2 to an R-1. This was approved.
Mayor Joshua Marsh suggested the Greensburg Daily News and Daily Times as their newspaper which was approved.
