Westport Town Council met on Monday. The council signed the funeral deeds, payroll vouchers, adjustments, and monthly bills.
There was an update on the Westport Water Projects. The construction on Division A is moving nicely and they are currently putting the roof on. There were 2 change orders which were approved by the board. O’Mara Contractors speculated that their end date for work in town would be June 25 however they will probably need to push it back. There was a discussion on the pros and cons of a pressure station as well as the costs.
The Government Alley Ordinance is being written to make the alley one way.
The service contracts for the city with the Volunteer Fire Department, Main Street Westport, and Westport KWANIS club were approved.
A community member requested an adjustment on their water bill because they had a water leak. This was approved.
