The Greensburg 7th grade girls’ basketball team defeated Franklin Community 38-27 in Saturday’s season opener. Sophie Buening had a strong game with 27 points. She was followed by Lulu Webb 7, Mila Dehoff 2, and Zoey Schaufert 2.
The Greensburg 8th grade girls’ basketball team lost to Franklin Community 34-40 in their first game of the season. Kahlen Adams led the way with 17 points. She was followed by Sophie Buening 9, LuLu Webb 4, Becky Huang 2, and Aubrie Barnes-Pettit 1. The young Lady Pirates travel to Seymour next Tuesday.
