Greensburg City Council met on Tuesday.
City Engineer Ron May presented Ordinance 2022-04 to amend ordinance 2021-15 for the stormwater utility. This was approved on the second reading. On March 23 there will be a public workshop held for commercial, 4 pm, and residential, 6 pm, property owners to understand the stormwater rate. This will be held at city hall.
City Clerk Treasurer Amy Borns presented ordinance 2022-05 for additional appropriation for Greensburg Community Schools. This is for $550,000. This was approved on the first reading.
Street Commissioner Mark Klosterkemper presented the Heavy Trash Week date. Heavy Trash Week will be the 3 full week of May, the 16-20. They do not accept CFC appliances, tires, or electronics. This was approved.
Kevin Fleetwood discussed possible future changes to ordinance 2019-20 for off road vehicles. They discussed allowing the off road vehicles on highways within the city limits and setting May 1 as the annual renewal date.
