The Decatur County Area Plan Commission Meeting began at 7:00 pm on February 7, 2024. The meeting began with the approval of the January 3, 2024 meeting minutes.
The only petition brought to the board was APC Petition 2024-2 – Jeffrey Moore is requesting to rezone Lot 67 in Cann’s 1st Addition to the Town of Westport from an R-2 zoning classification to an R-4 zoning classification to convert the existing dwelling into (3) three attached dwellings. This request falls under Decatur County Ordinance Section Number 1045. The property is owned by the petitioner and is located at 313 E Mulberry Street, Westport, in Sand Creek Township.
Jeffrey Moore, property owner stated that he is taking a pre-existing 3,000-square-foot home and splitting it into 3 separate units. He has received approval from the City of Westport and the utility companies.
Sheila Kirchoff, APC board member asked if he had adequate parking for the property if approved. Jeffrey stated, “Yes, currently I have 3 parking spaces in the front of the building and 3 parking spaces in the rear. If needed I am the owner of the adjourning property and can make changes as needed.
The board unanimously approved APC Petition 2024-2. The meeting was adjourned. The APC’s next meeting is March 6, 2024, at 6:30 pm and is going to be at the EMA Meeting Room located at 315 S Ireland St # E, Greensburg, IN 47240
