The Decatur County Community Schools Board of Education met on Wednesday.
The South Decatur Elementary School 3rd grade field trip to the Cincinnati Children’s Theatre was approved. The resignations of Jacqueline Fritz-North Decatur, Brian Ingmire-North Decatur, and Paula Blodgett- South Decatur were approved. The leave of Kelsey Slaughter-North Decatur was approved. The hirings of Nina Graue-North Decatur, Meredith Acra- Medical Leave, Terri Hornberger-Medical Leave, Meagan Benz- North Decatur, Misti Burchett- North Decatur, and Tracey Smith-North Decatur were approved. All Athletics hirings for North and South Decatur were approved.
The end of the year financial matters were presented. These are all routine items. The request to transfer appropriations for Year End balancing was approved. The request to transfer 2021 professional services and building construction plans and appropriations of operations fund to operations fund 2022 was approved. The request to transfer the technology portion of operations fund to operations fund 2022 was approved.
The substitute teacher pay increase was approved. The return to learn plan was re-approved. Poole Group was approved to be the CMC for NDHS and SDHS renovations. The board approved the disposal of obsolete equipment. All student fundraisers were approved. All money donations totaling in $2,631 and food donations for North Decatur were approved.
