The Lady Cougar 7th grade volleyball team defeated Edinburgh with the scores of 22-25, 25-24, and 15-6. Top servers for the Cougars were Raegan Benge, 12 for 14 with 10 points and Riley Benge, 10 for 12 with 8 points.
The 8th grade team also defeated the Lancers with the scores of 25-20 and 25-22. The Cougars were 90% serving as a team! Taylor Somers was 15 for 16 with 13 points, Carmen Kroger was 8 for 8 with 6 points, Liz Bennett was 7 for 8 with 5 points, RieAnna Haley was 6 for 7 with 4 points, and Lilli Hamer was 5 for 5 with 3 points.
The junior high team is in action again on Thursday against conference opponent Southwestern at 5:30 at South Decatur Elementary School. —
