MMH COVID update Wednesday

Margaret Mary Health COVID-19 Update: 11.17.21

This week we have seen our COVID-19 patient volumes decline slightly from the previous week.  Both Ripley and Franklin counties saw an increase in the Covid positivity rate.  The Ripley Co. status remains orange with a Covid 7-day positivity rate of 11.05%.  The Franklin Co. status this week changed to orange with an 10.13% positivity rate.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the stable COVID volumes we’ve been experiencing since the end of October, our next update will be provided on December 1, 2021, and bi-weekly thereafter.  If circumstances change, we will update prior to that as needed.

Inpatient Care:   We currently have 24 patients on our Med Surg floor, with 2 of those patients in our Special Care Unit.  6 of our patients are Covid+ (positive).   Our overall percentage of admitted patients since August 1, 2021 who were unvaccinated increased slightly to 86%.

Testing:  Our COVID-19 testing volumes remained consistent from the previous week, however our positivity rate decreased slightly to 22.5% with 47 patients testing positive.

Vaccination: Children ages 5 and older are now able to get an age-appropriate dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.  Vaccine appointments can be scheduled Monday – Friday at the MMH Occupational Health and Wellness Center in Batesville at 812.932.5105.   Vaccine appointments can also be made Monday – Friday at the Margaret Mary Health Center in Brookville at 765.647.5126.  Walk-ins are also welcome in Brookville.
