Greensburg battled through the cold, windy conditions to defeat Columbus East 5-0. First off the court was #2 singles player, Abigail Hoeing, who took no time winning 6-0, 6-0. Ella Chapman and Janae Comer, playing #1 doubles were next to give us a victory, winning 6-1, 6-1, and then our #2 doubles team of Hailey Duerstock and Josie Nobbe captured our third point winning 6-0, 6-1. #1 singles player, Jenna Foster, found a way to win 6-1, 6-3 and #3 singles player, Mary Harmon gave us our final point winning 6-2, 6-4. In JV action, Mya Comer won 6-0, and Kayla Kramer won 6-0. In doubles action, Morgan Cain and Anne Pumphrey won 6-0, while Emma Kuntz and Claire Nobbe won 6-1. It wasn’t our best performance of the year, but amidst the cold and wind, we played a solid match. This win makes us 7-0 and we face conference opponent Batesville, today at 5:00.
