GDC Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Celebration of Soya Maya Milestone

Greensburg, IN – Mayasari Tempeh, a unique and innovative Indonesian American company, celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Greensburg facility. This celebration was made even more special with the attendance of Ganjar Pranowo, former Governor of Central Java, a province in Indonesia. His presence underscored the strong cultural and economic ties between Indonesia and the Indonesian American community, lending further recognition to the achievements of Mayasari Tempeh in Greensburg.

Founded by Maya Effendi, Mayasari Tempeh has expanded its production capabilities significantly with the acquisition of a new Tempeh Chip Processor, thanks to a revolving loan from the Economic Development Corporation. This state-of-the-art machine slices, cooks, and bakes tempeh chips, increasing production from 200 bags a week to 5,500, catering to the demand of their high-protein tempeh chips, Soya Maya. Locally sourced soybeans are used to create these vegan, gluten-free chips, packed with 6g of protein and enriched with vitamin B-12, making them a nutritious and delicious option for health-conscious snackers.

Even more inspiring is Mayasari’s commitment to global impact. For every bag of Soya Maya sold, the company donates 5 cents to support children’s education in Indonesia, contributing to a brighter future while sharing authentic Indonesian flavors in the heart of the Midwest.

For those interested in purchasing the snack, Soya Maya is sold at Mayasari Indonesian Grill,l located at 213 North Broadway Street, Greensburg, IN 47240.
