Decatur County moving to Orange.

Decatur County is moving the travel status to orange as of 12:00 pm today (January 7, 2025). The Highway Department has been plowing the roads since midnight and will continue throughout the coming days. Many of the roads are still single lane and many have significant drifts. Decatur County has 636 miles of roads. That means the Highway Department has to cover 1,272 miles to get both lanes open on all roads. Many of the roads will not be completely clear for 24-48 hours.
