The Decatur County Area Plan Commission held its monthly meeting on January 8, 2025, at 6:30 pm.
The board’s first action was to elect its 2025 Officers- President- Todd Mauer, Vice President- Brad Schutte, and Secretary- Paul Stone. The board appointed Paul Stone to the Board of Zoning Appeals for 2025. The board approved the September 4, 2024, November 6, 2024, and December 4, 2024, meeting minutes.
The board approved APC Petition 2025-1 – Cameron Tipton petitioned to rezone approx. 2.99 acres from an A-1 zoning classification to an A-2 zoning classification for construction of a single-family detached dwelling. This request falls under Decatur County Ordinance Article 9, 920(7) & 915. The property is owned by the petitioner and is located just North of 7215 S CR 900 W, Greensburg, in Jackson Township.
The board approved the APC Petition 2025-2 – Brian & Amy Poling petitioned to subdivide approx. 2.99 acres out of 81.72 acres and rezone approx. 2.99 acres from an A-1 zoning classification to an A-2 zoning classification for construction of a single-family detached dwelling. This request falls under Decatur County Ordinance Article 9, 915 & 920(7). The property is owned by Edward & Ruth Smith and is located at 795 S CR 550 W, Greensburg in Jackson Township.
