Three New Troopers Assigned to the Indianapolis District

The Indianapolis District of the Indiana State Police is proud to welcome three new probationary troopers who graduated from the 87th Indiana State Police Academy on July 24, 2025. These troopers now begin their careers at the Indianapolis District with a three-month field training program. During this period, they will work alongside experienced troopers to apply the skills and knowledge they gained throughout their academy training.

After successfully completing field training, each trooper will be issued a patrol vehicle and assigned to solo patrol duties within the district. These recruits have completed over 1,200 hours of intensive instruction, which included courses in criminal and traffic law, emergency vehicle operations, defensive tactics, firearms training, crash investigation, first aid, and other essential areas of modern policing.

Trooper Scott Reidelberger is from Pinckneyville Illinois and a 2008 graduate of Pickneyville Community High School. After high school he studied criminology at Rend Lake College. Scott enjoys fishing, hunting and going to movies. 

Trooper Reidelberger will be assigned to patrol Marion County. He currently resides in Johnson County with his wife and two children

Trooper Schall is a native of Avon Indiana and a 2015 graduate of Avon High School. He graduated from Indiana University in 2019 with a major in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology. His hobbies include cooking, hiking exercising and reading. 

Trooper Schall will be assigned to patrol Marion County, he currently lives in Hendricks County. 

Trooper Daysia Tallman is from Indianapolis and a 2017 graduate of Warren Central High School. After high school she joined the United States Marine Corp, where she served for four years. During her time in the Marine Corp, she was stationed in Okinawa Japan. In 2021, Tallman was named Marine of the Year for III MFF in Japan. Tallman continues to serve as a Sergeant in the USMC Inactive Reserves. Her hobbies include lifting weights and exercising. 

Trooper Tallman will be assigned to patrol Marion County; she currently resides in Hancock County.
