This afternoon 08/13/2025 at 15:29 the ATVFD was dispatched to a report of a crash with property damage in the 4500 block of N Old US-421. Engine 151 responded with two firefighters and arrived on scene where a sedan was located just off the roadway with heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. ATVFD firefighters quickly determined there were no injuries to vehicle occupants or fire hazard present.
Firefighters began directing heavy traffic flow around the scene due to shift change at Honda, two additional members of the ATVFD arrived via personnel vehicles and began assisting in traffic flow management while deputies from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department arrived and coordinated a wrecker service to remove the damaged vehicle. After vehicle was recovered the roadway was opened to normal traffic and all emergency personnel vacated the scene.
