GREENSBURG, Ind. — The 2026 Decatur County 4-H Fair Parade will step off at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, celebrating this year’s theme, “Harvesting the American Dream.”
Parade participants should arrive for lineup between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will be available to assist participants with staging. Those who did not pre-register are still welcome to participate and should report to the lineup area on parade day, where organizers will assign them a place in the parade.The Parade line-up is at the end of this release.
This year’s Grand Marshals are The American Legion and the VA Color Guard. Members of both organizations will be transported throughout the parade by the Power of the Past members.
Parade Awards
Judges stationed along the parade route will present four $25 awards in the following categories:
- Best Entry Representing the Theme, “Harvesting the American Dream”
- Most Enthusiastic Entry
- Best Overall Design
- Entry with the Most Participants (Riders or Walkers)
Parade Route

Participants will leave S. Ireland Street and proceed down Park Road, turning left into the Decatur County Fairgrounds just before the Animal Shelter.
Please note: Semi-trucks and wreckers will continue on Park Road and will not enter the fairgrounds.
Once inside the fairgrounds, participants will continue to the third gravel drive and turn right, passing the Horse Barn. The route then continues through the fairgrounds with a right turn, followed by a left past the Headquarters Office, a right alongside the Commercial Building, and a final left between the Commercial Building and the new Community Building onto S. County Road 200 W.
At the conclusion of the parade:
- Participants needing to unload should turn left toward the Decatur County Highway Department.
- Participants exiting the area should turn right toward Main Street.
Volunteers Still Needed
Parade Organizer Chris Ramey is seeking three additional volunteers to assist with the lineup before the parade. Anyone interested in helping is encouraged to reach out prior to parade day. Chris is also seeking volunteers to be judges throughout the route.
