Hundreds of community members gathered on the Decatur County Courthouse lawn Saturday to recreate a historic 1918 photograph in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. This commemorative photograph captures a defining moment in our community’s history, honoring our past while preserving a powerful legacy for future generations.
The event was made possible through the dedication of volunteers and the leadership of the America 250 Decatur County Committee. Committee members include Natalie Acra, Kathy Verseman, Kate Acra, Emily Verseman, Dawn Lowe, Carrie Schumacher, Clark Martin, Rick Nobbe, Joshua Marsh, Brian Wenning, and Jennifer Leach.
