Norman Dale Mozingo, 90, of North Vernon, passed away on August 23, 2026, at his
residence. He was born on November 24, 1935, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of
Howard Samuel and Ardith Laverne (Wright) Mozingo. He spent the majority of his
life in Decatur County and retired from KB Foods after 20 years of service. He
loved guns and fishing. Norman married Charlotte Mae Hazelgrove on September 25,
1967, in Greensburg, Indiana. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2020.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Cruser, sons, Robert, Kevin, Bruce, Jeff
and Michael Mozingo; sister, Barbara Jean Dalrymple and 11 grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents, wife, Charlotte and daughter, Mary Lynn
Fields. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26,
2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor George Willette
officiating. Burial will follow at Union Presbyterian Cemetery. A time of
visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s
Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
