Patricia ‘Patt’ D. Luken

Patricia “Patt” D. Luken, 93, passed away on November 1, 2026, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus, Indiana.

Born on July 8, 1933, in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Brodie) Doerflinger. Patt was a graduate of Greensburg Community High School. On April 22, 1957, she married Carl R. Luken, and they shared nearly ten years of marriage before his passing on February 1, 1967.

Patt was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella (D of I). She was always willing to lend a helping hand and enjoyed assisting with various activities at church, including funeral meals. She also volunteered with the United Fund Cheer Drive. Her faith and her church community were important parts of her life.

Above all, Patt cherished her family. They were her everything, and she especially loved the holidays and any opportunity to bring everyone together. One of her favorite traditions was the annual fall break trips with her children and grandchildren, making memories that would last a lifetime. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles, playing dominoes and cards, reading, and collecting coins. At one time, she was also part of a bridge club.

She is survived by her children, Keith (Jan) Luken and Debra (Dan) Skillman; grandchildren, Angie (Barry) Troutman, Jennifer Staser, David (Allie) Luken, Katie (Nick) Likens, and Julia (Josh) Holt; great-grandchildren, Addison, Olivia, Kreighton, Kove, Kutler, Blair, and Grayson; and sisters, Dottie Feeney and Jackie (Marvin) Sizemore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, John Doerflinger and Paul Doerflinger; and sister, Phyllis Doerflinger.

Family and friends will pray the Rosary on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. Visitation will follow from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
