Saturday Bicentennial event at Library

As part of Decatur County’s bicentennial celebration, Ray Boomhower will be speaking about the life of the Indiana born, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and war correspondent, Ernie Pyle on Saturday, April 9  at 11:00 am at the Greensburg Public Library.  Ray Boomhower is senior editor at the Indiana Historical Society Press, where he serves as editor of the quarterly popular history magazine “Traces of Indiana and Midwestern History.  His book, “The Soldier’s Friend: The Life of Ernie Pyle” chronicles Pyle’s fascinating life. This program is part of the Cleo Duncan lecture series celebrating Decatur County’s bicentennial.
