Decatur County Sheriff Bill Meyerrose joined us Thursday morning to discuss the latest happenings around the county.

Coming off another successful Decatur County Fair, Sheriff Meyerrose thanked the community for making this year’s event a great success.

He also provided an update on road construction throughout Decatur County:

• 🚧 I-74 construction continues, with a new ramp closure coming at Mile Marker 132.
• 🚧 U.S. 421 South remains closed.
• 🚧 State Road 3 toward Rushville is open, with the exception of the area just south of State Road 244, where a signed detour is in place.

With less than three weeks until students return to school, Sheriff Meyerrose reminded drivers to stay alert and emphasized that school safety remains a top priority.
