Bethany Cales is the new Adams Township Trustee

With the recent announcement from Rachel Mirick moving out of her township. This left the position of Township Trustee vacant. The Republican Party Central Committee called for a caucus to occur on February 13, 2025.

During the caucus the Precinct Committee members Seth Smoot, and Jeremy Pasel heard from those who submitted to be considered for Township Trustee. Those that were considered: Bethany Cales, Kylie DeBaun, Clay Hargitt, and Somer Welsh-Hart.

The votes were counted, and the new trustee is Bethany Cales. She was a Township Trustee Advisory Board member and due to being elected as Trustee she will vacate that position. Nate Harter, Republican Party Chair stated that a caucus will be held to fill the vacancy that she is leaving behind.

Bethany Cales currently works at Honda as an Engagement Specialist in Assembly Frame. She has been a lifelong country resident with a passion to help people and take care of her community. Bethany said that she looks forward to seeing the Adams Township Fire Department new building completed and see those firefighters have their new home. Bethany stated that just recently the township found a cemetery that had been forgotten and hasn’t been touched in 20 years. She is excited to work on the cemetery.
