Cincinnati Man Arrested Following Multi-Agency High-Speed Pursuit on I-74

Greensburg, Ind. — On Friday, August 8 at approx. 1:30am, Greensburg Police Officer Dillan Able was patrolling I-74 near the 134MM. Officer Able clocked a vehicle exceeding the maximum posted speed limit and stopped the car being driven by Eric Figueroa, age 21 of Cincinnati.

As officer Able approached the car, Figueroa took off and led officers in a vehicle pursuit reaching speeds up to 115 MPH along I-74 westbound.

Multiple agencies assisted in the pursuit and in the deployment of tire deflation devices along the route. Figueroa’s vehicle became disabled and stopped at the 101MM exit. Figueroa then fled from his vehicle on foot. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit by Officer Able and Officer Joshua Taylor of the Greensburg Police Department.

Figueroa has been charged with the following crimes and is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Resisting Arrest with a Motor Vehicle – Level 6 FelonyOperating a Motor Vehicle Vehicle while Intoxicated with a prior conviction- Level 6 FelonyPossession of Narcotics – Level 6 FelonyReckless Driving – Class A Misdemeanor
