City of Greensburg Board of Works Meeting

During the meeting Mark Klosterkemper, Street Commissioner received approval to have heavy trash week from May 18th until the May 22, 2026. The schedule for individual streets will come out later this spring.

The board heard from Mike McNealy, Police Chief received approval to update the Unmanned Vehicle Program policy to include ground vehicles. Chief McNealy announced that the police department received a robot through excess military equipment. The robot was no cost to the department. The robot is equipped with a camera that can be viewed remotely. The policy language and legalities remain the same other than add ground vehicles to it.

Chief McNealy also received approval to trade 23 shotguns to Smalltown Sport & Outdoors and receive 11 semi-automatic shotguns for no cost. McNealy went on to explain that several of the 23 shotguns have been in operation at the department longer than he has been employed at there.

The board also approved the police department to purchase an additional Flock camera. The department currently uses four of them and has seen the importance of the technology.

The board finished up the meeting by approving the claims.
