The meeting began with Chris Stephen, City Attorney stating that they have received a request from the Decatur County Attorney to remove the Variance Request that was on the agenda as there was some confusion and that the County Commissioners had not approved the sign that was to be proposed. The board voted to remove this request with the understanding that once the county is ready to move forward this request will be added back to a later meeting.
The Public Hearing began for the variance from Development Standards for setbacks for a new garage for Hank & Sue Martin located at 446 E. Washington Street Greensburg, IN 47240. With no public comments the hearing was closed.
The Public Hearing began for the variance from Development Standards for McCamment Construction, LLC to be able to put a 25′ wide road to extend Joseph Drive to develop a subdivision. The subdivision will include 6 homes. A neighbor stood to voice concern over parking on holidays. Two other neighbors stood to state that they are concerned about the drainage infrastructure that is planned for the area. They stated that this has been an ongoing issue for 20+ years. It was explained that the road will be equipped with the infrastructure that will be needed to direct any water away from the concerned neighbors’ properties. The Public Hearing was closed.

The board approved the variance for McCamment Construction, LLC to construct a 25′ wide road that will extend Joseph Drive to develop a subdivision. Keegan McCamment added that this subdivision was originally approved in 1974.
