Greensburg, IN — The Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County (CHC), a long-standing nonprofit that provides medical and dental services to uninsured and underinsured residents, is celebrating a year of major growth and new opportunities as it looks ahead to 2026.
Founded in 1984, the CHC has served thousands of local residents over the decades. Now located in the Rural King Plaza on North Broadway Street, the clinic currently supports more than 100 families in Decatur County and continues to welcome new patients who qualify for low-cost care. Medical visits are offered at just $10, while dental appointments are available for $20.
The clinic reports that 2025 brought significant advancements. After completing a fundraising campaign earlier this year, CHC successfully purchased and installed state-of-the-art medical equipment, which was put into use during the November clinic.
More improvements are on the way. The organization hinted at “exciting dental news” expected soon, signaling additional upgrades or expansions in services.
CHC was also awarded a portion of a mental health grant through the Decatur County Community Foundation. This funding will allow the clinic to expand its footprint and introduce mental health services in the near future—a major step toward comprehensive community care.
In addition, the Greensburg Presbyterian Church provided grant funding to purchase a point-of-care hemoglobin A1c machine. This tool will help the clinic monitor diabetic patients at a minimal cost, with installation planned before the end of the year.
Clinic leaders say 2025 has been “a great year of growth,” setting the stage for even broader community impact in 2026.
