Congresswoman Erin Houchin Votes on First Bill to Pass the House“Hoosiers know we need a more efficient government, not more government,” – Congresswoman Erin Houchin.

Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) voted in support of the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, H.R. 23, to stop the Biden Administration’s plan to hire 87,000 new IRS agents who would be used to increase audits on middle class families, spy on Americans’ bank accounts, and target conservatives. “This evening, I voted in support of the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act. This legislation put forth by Representative Adrian Smith is a great first step to deliver on House Republicans’ “Commitment to America” promise. “I’m proud to be an original cosponsor of one of the first bills to pass the House, and one that ensures more of Hoosiers hard-earned tax dollars remain in their pockets instead of being used to hire more IRS bureaucrats. Hoosiers know we need a more efficient government, not more government,” said Congresswoman Erin Houchin.

Houchin represents the 9th congressional district of which Decatur County is now a part.
