County plans drive-thru COVID vaccine clinics

REENSBURG — The Decatur County Health Department announced that appointments are now open for the drive through vaccination clinic being opened at Greenview Drive, Greensburg IN, 47240 Saturday, April 10th. Anyone over 18 can go to ourshot.in.gov or call 211 to schedule.

The clinic will operate from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be offered at the clinic. Appointments are available now and are filling quickly

The clinic will be able to administer up to 500 vaccinations.

In addition, another drive through clinic will be offered on April 17th at the Decatur County Fairgrounds from 12p.m.– 6 p.m. This clinic will be the first dose of the Moderna shot, with a second clinic on May 22 at the same times for the second dose.

Both clinics will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. EDT as follows:

Appointments for both the are required and can be scheduled online at ourshot.in.gov (use Chrome or Firefox as your browser). To find the sites enter the registration page and search by the 47240 ZIP code. If you do not have a computer or smartphone, call 211 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EDT to schedule an appointment.

Anyone age 16 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals age 16 and 17 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine. This vaccine is available at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital

The vaccine is available at no cost to patients, but insurance may be charged an administration fee.
