The meeting began with the approval of the June meeting minutes.
The first petition was APC Petition 2025-19 – Joe & Arlene Stuart received approval to subdivide approx. 1.50 acres out of 8.013 acres and rezone approx. 1.50 acres from an A-1 zoning classification to an A-2 zoning classification to build a single family detached dwelling. This request falls under Decatur County Ordinance Section Number 915 & 920(7). The property is owned by Vital & Kuyhlia Hulsbosch and is located just north of 6069 S CR 850 W, Greensburg in Jackson Township.
Don Schilling of the Decatur County Redevelopment Commission – received approval to amend the Area Resolution and the Original Plan to add the funding of a housing study to be conducted by the Greensburg Decatur County Economic Development Corporation. Resolution No. 2025-1. Before the vote was taken Area Plan Commission President Todd Mauer explained that the first step for this to happen the Area Plan Commission must sign off and approve of it, then the next step in the process will be the commissioners signing and approving of the amendment. Don stated that they are then required to have a public hearing for the last step before it can be amendment.
