The Decatur County Commissioners met on Monday.
Mark Mohr gave an update. They will be closing the Westport Covered Bridge for storm damage repair. The Community Matching Grants should be awarded sometime this month. They were awarded the bridge 131 project thought federal aid. This will be a part of the park road project and will be an inter local agreement with the City of Greensburg. The agreement was approved to be signed and sent to INDOT. They continue to do stone work, grading, and pothole fixes.
Kenny Buening gave an update. There have been 35 building inspections, 5 new building permits, and 1 red tag for a remodel permit. There is a property in Newpoint that is being cleaned up.
Sean Durbin presented several quotes for updates at the new Health Department location. The cabinet replacement was approved. The carpet removal and installation was approved.
Doug Banks came to the board to request a new vehicle for the Coroners Department. This had already been approved last year, but the vehicle has gone up in price. The vehicle is properly outfitted for the coroners use with a locked in gurney and storage space. This will be paid for out of cumulative capital. This was approved.
The credit card application for the fairground account was approved. They had a fair committee meeting on Wednesday night which went well.
The board approved the roof replacement for roughly $47,600.
