Decatur County Emergency Management Agency Director Brad Speer with an afternoon update

Decatur County is now in the Moderate Risk category for severe weather. They just stated;

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded central Indiana into a MODERATE RISK. The main change from earlier this morning is that the damaging wind threat along a line of storms is now expected to be more intense and widespread.

The primary threat for severe weather will be after 9:00PM. The main threat will be damaging straight line winds, however an isolated tornado and large hail cannot be ruled out along with additional strong to severe storms ahead of the line.

Stay weather aware today, and be ready for possible watches and warnings.
