The Decatur County United Fund received a $2,500 contribution from the Duke Energy Foundation.
“Decatur County United Fund supports sixteen nonprofit programs and services that address
difficult problems in our community. This grant contribution goes toward our 2024 ‘Making
Connections Together’ Campaign, with a goal of raising $555,000. The funds will support our
organization’s work addressing food insecurity, providing education, and offering mental,
physical, and emotional support resources for struggling individuals. Duke Energy, thank you
so much for being a supporter of the Decatur County United Fund,” stated Joane Cunningham,
Executive Director of the Decatur County United Fund.
The support of community helps provide resources for individuals in need. Contributions such
as Duke Energy’s help our local families, friends, and neighbors. Duke Energy’s corporate gift
shows their commitment to strengthen Decatur County.
