Emergency Management update for 12/24/22 7:00 AM

Here is the latest from the NWS.

The winter storm warning has been allowed to expire at 7:00 am this morning.  There will continue to be a wind chill advisory. Temps should get above zero today, but wind chills will remain -10 to -20.

Winds are supposed to start to ease all throughout the day. Attached briefing has more details.

The county is currently under a RED travel warning.  Commissioners will be discussing the reduction to an Orange or Advisory level around 8 am this morning.

County Highway was out early this morning.  They are attacking the primary routes in the county first, secondary next, and so on.

With the issues of the continued winds this morning and cars stuck in the roads from yesterday they may not get over all roads until tomorrow sometime.
