Greensburg Fire Chief, Nathan Stoermer, was in on Thursday morning. He thanked the community for a very successful Chili Supper. GFD was able to put money back in their Fire Prevention Fund, along with a donation to the Decatur County Community Foundation in support of the Kathy Reynolds Scholarship. Chief Stoermer gave several winter time tips to avoid potential hazards as we move into cold weather. He also reported it has been a safe harvest as farmers begin to wrap up on the fields. Both new trucks for the GFD are on target to be delivered next year, 2027, as the entire GFD is looking forward to those additions.
