Nicole Ponsler shared a sneak peak of a mural that she has been working on at the new Decatur County Community Pool. She states that it will encompass seven walls, including the ceiling.
Nicole grew up in Greensburg, and it is obvious that Greensburg continues to be near and dear to her heart. She graduated from Greensburg Community High School, attended and graduated Indiana University in Bloomington.
She currently lives in Point Arena, California. She has been working 10-12 hour days to get the mural completed, with plans to return later this year to complete the mural. Nicole was the artist that painted the mural on the building where Tarouya currently is.
Erica Gunn, Visit Greensburg Executive Director, said she was thrilled Nicole was able to take on the mural project, noting her exceptional artistic talent and attention to detail. Gunn added that she is excited to see the finished mural.
The mural is funded by donations, and a few sponsors. Those sponsors will be featured in the mural.
